Meredith Paker delivered the tenth annual LEAP Lecture in the Schumann Building on 4 November 2025. Her title was Understanding the Past with Machine Learning.
The lecture closed LEAP’s conference on AI and economic history, held in Stellenbosch that week, at which Caterina Chiopris and Emily Aiken gave the keynotes. Meredith has since joined the University of Oxford.
